Introduction

  • Hi! We’re on the lookout for (More than a) Scrum Master to join our team of +55 problem-solvers in creating great products hand in hand with our abroad-based Clients. But most importantly, we hope to find a true colleague and friend who’ll enjoy facing everyday challenges, striving for technical excellence, and growing together.

Highlights

  • * 26 paid vacation days and sick leaves for everyone

  • * hybrid work model (2-3 days/week from the office) with flexible working hours

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Join a development team working directly with one of our overseas Clients on a daily basis and bridging the business and the people.

  • Act as a guide to one of our self-managing teams. You'll put the right process in place, based on the data that you gather - most of our teams work in Scrum, but you’ll see other Agile frameworks across the company. We believe in the adaptive shaping of our processes as we grow, so you’ll be responsible for applying the methodology and practices that will fit best.

  • Have a real impact while jumpstarting new projects by setting up an initial process, roles, and ceremonies. You will help find and understand the 'why' behind every piece of product that we build. What's more,  you'll observe, detect problems, and guide the team through any rough patches.

  • Support the team  by assessing its needs, removing or preventing impediments, and providing additional support with the daily life of the team. You'll be helping and educating the team and the Client to build a better understanding of Agile standards and best practices.

  • Foster a trusting environment  to cultivate a safe space for learning, where we experiment and explore new solutions and ideas.

  • Facilitate the team's work  - you will be searching for and implementing techniques for effective backlog refining and managing, as well as facilitating the team’s ceremonies (such as daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and planning), and organizing workshops and other team activities.

  • Shape our culture  while working within the Agile Team to ensure a high-performance culture within the entire u2i. You will be fostering the right feedback culture across the whole organization.

We might be a great match for each other... if you have essential skills, experience, and attitude:

  • Consultative gene
You are experienced in transparent and assertive communication while coaching or consulting with the team and the Client.

  • Professional experience
You have 4+ yrs of overall professional experience (but at least 1 year of experience as a Scrum Master in the IT environment)

  • Facilitating skills
You are a natural facilitator, you make sure the meetings are fun, well-prepared, have a clear purpose and outcome, and you skillfully apply the right amount of facilitation to maximize results. At the same time, you know and use various facilitation tips & tricks.

  • valid work permit
you are legally authorized to work in Poland

  • Product development knowledge
You possess a solid understanding of product development processes (including requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, and release management), enabling effective collaboration and delivery of various products.

  • Excellent English skills
You have an excellent command of spoken and written English (C1+).

  • The right focus
You focus on the needs of the team members and the Client, with the goal of achieving results in line with the organization's values and business objectives.

  • Agile experience
You have previous experience with applying and optimizing different Agile methodologies and Lean practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.).

  • Team dynamics knowledge
You keep a watchful eye on team dynamics and are well aware of the stages of team development and its dysfunctions. Moreover, you understand and can react to the challenges of teams operating in a hybrid work model.

  • A natural guide
You have provided guidance and understanding of Agile practices to others - you know perfectly how to explain the importance of feedback loops, self-assignment, team estimation processes, and retrospectives.

... and you are a great culture fit for u2i, which means that you are:

  • a great communicator
you are able to walk others through your thinking process and convey your ideas and information in a respectful, concise, and easy-to-understand manner

  • organized and self-directed
healthy habits help you manage your own backlog and time to maximize what you bring to the table. You know how to move from high-level goals to execution.

  • self-aware
you understand that it takes time and a few experiments to hit the right approach.

  • proactive and vocal
you’re proactive and disruptive of the status quo, you don't shy away from sharing your ideas and proposing changes

  • a true colleague
you are eager to cooperate closely with other Scrum Masters toward the goals of this team.

  • eager to learn
you are a self-driven fast learner, eager to discover new things (some of which go beyond your technical skills), and master the ones you already know

  • creative
you push yourself to think outside the box and have a can-do attitude.

  • curious and open-minded
you’re eager to experiment and see opportunities where others don’t

  • a supportive folk
